My poster is based on the United Nations 17 worldwide goals, of which I chose goal number 3. Goal number 3 talks about the importance of good health and well-being as well as the idea that “Access to good healthcare is a human right”. On their website, experts at the UN say that what you can do to help with this goal is to take good care of your body, both mentally and physically and to live a healthy lifestyle. Based on this, I wanted to create a poster that would be targeted at college students like us here at Monmouth University. I wanted to remind college students that the choices that they make now will affect them later in life. To further push this message, I chose to use imagery from famous paintings that have to do with age as a theme. There is a young man with perfectly smooth and vibrant skin, contrasted with an old man with wrinkles who has clear signs of age. This is to get people to think about how they might be when they are older, and how their bodies will be affected by their habits now.
