Into the Attic - Photography Book

For my documentary book project, I photographed the attic in my family home during the nighttime to create a sense of loneliness and emptiness. I showed spaces that appear to be liminal, or seemingly without purpose. Most places have an intentional purpose for existing, and I show those places during a time in which they are not being used for their purpose. Places such as an empty playground or beach at night with hints to their purpose such as trash that was left by people who were previously playing at this park during the daytime. My goal was to document these spaces in this transitional time in which the purpose may not be apparent and gives the viewer a sense of eeriness.
