elevate uses 5 basic principles: connectedness, consistency, learning, physical wellbeing & mental wellbeing to help guide users towards a true sense of wellbeing. elevate provides users with information to improve lifestyle, break bad habits and maintain good ones, feel more connected to nature and other people, learn self-understanding through cognitive behavioral therapy and meditation, and much more. Many people, especially those who struggle with anxiety and depression, have a difficult time attaining and maintaining a consistently positive level of mental health. elevate was created with this target audience in mind, giving users daily tasks and checklists to achieve short term goals and manage stress while being productive and allowing for a gentle, nurturing experience proven to stimulate the desire for personal growth. In addition to these daily tasks, elevate encourages users to write or talk about their experiences throughout the day or jot down thoughts to come back to later by utilizing the journal feature. When you are feeling disconnected, elevate pushes users to spend time with nature and other people. It has been shown that interacting with nature and others and using your hands to physically be a part of nature greatly increases dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain.
